KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 25 — The inaugural PNB Corporate Summit 2019 (PCS 2019), themed “Rebooting Corporate Malaysia”, aims to provide Malaysian corporations with international, regional and local perspectives to identify key elements in driving the nation’s growth, especially given the rise of Industrial Revolution 4.0 (IR4.0) and the digital economy.
To be held on Oct 30, the summit will discuss topics such as global finance, IR4.0 and business and governance trends as well as providing networking opportunities for participants, Permodalan Nasional Bhd (PNB) said in a statement today.
The fund management company said the event would create a platform for corporate Malaysia to convene and exchange views on evolving market dynamics and how these could impact Malaysian companies.
“The summit will bring together a think tank of thought leadership, ideas, innovation, economics, politics and societal elements which impact public and private equity,” it said.
Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad is expected to deliver a special address during the opening ceremony.
Notable speakers at PCS 2019 include Brett King, futurist and best-selling author of “Augmented: Life in The Smart Lane”; David Webb, a Hong Kong-based former investment banker turned activist and share market analyst; and Shan Saeed, chief economist at IQI Global who advises clients on various areas, including risk/compliance management, global macro economy and business strategy.
