KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 12 — The Malaysian Association of Tour and Travel Agents (MATTA) hopes to roll out the e-hailing service for tour buses in time for the start of Visit Malaysia 2020.

MATTA president Datuk Tan Kok Liang said the association had, in fact, inked a memorandum of understanding with four e-hailing operators on July 12 this year.

“Without increasing running costs, a tour bus could generate additional revenue by picking up a group of passengers making a booking using an e-hailing app,” he said in a statement today.

He said the pickup points can be anywhere such as the airport, hotel, office and at various attractions.
