MELAKA, Nov 24 — Universiti Teknikal Malaysia Melaka (UTeM) and the Jiangxi University of Science and Technology, China recently held bilateral talks on student and staff mobility programmes for both universities.
UTeM vice-chancellor Prof Datuk Dr Raha Abdul Rahim said UTeM and Jiangxi University of Science and Technology through Jiangxi University of Applied Science also shared research knowledge between their researchers.
“In addition to the student mobility programme, plans to conduct joint research through staff mobility programmes between the two universities were also discussed in line with the rapid development of Industrial Revolution 4.0,” she said in a statement here.
Meanwhile, she said China-based telecommunications equipment manufacturer ZTE Corporation through ZTE Management LTD also held talks with UTeM to open up opportunities for students to undergo internship in the company.
He said ZTE Management LTD was also keen to open up opportunities for qualified UTeM students to start their careers with the company.
The simultaneous meeting of the Jiangxi University of Applied Science at UTeM’s main campus in Durian Tunggal was led by Huang Yulin, while the ZTE Management LTD delegation was represented by its chairman, Zhang Renjun.
