KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 10 — Telekom Malaysia Bhd (TM), through its Group Procurement division, recently showed appreciation to 37 excellent business partners and vendors in a special awards ceremony, the “TM Supplier Recognition 2019”.
At the event, TM also recognised seven vendors who were awarded Regional and National Champion titles for their outstanding achievements.
TM chief operating officer Imri Mokhtar expressed the company’s gratitude for the full support and commitment it has been receiving from the partners and suppliers to maintain the highest quality of products and services for end customers.
“To keep your business competitive and sustainable, we urge our partners and suppliers to invest and engage in research as well as commercialisation activities to produce innovative service offerings that fulfil customers’ needs and requirements,” he said in a statement today.
All vendors were nominated for 19 awards in five main categories, namely Mega Partner, Mid-Tier, Material Operations, Transactional and Bumiputera Vendor Development Programme (BVDP).
Huawei Technologies (M) Sdn Bhd and Wuhan Fiberhome International (M) Sdn Bhd won the Best Mega Partner category while Isolectra (M) Sdn Bhd, Commverge Solutions (M) Sdn Bhd and Leadcom (M) Sdn Bhd clinched the Mid-Tier category.
Six vendors were awarded the National Champion title under the BVDP for 2017 and 2018, namely Lite Kabel Sdn Bhd, Binaan Desjaya Sdn Bhd, Exact Engineering Sdn Bhd, Kazakon Sdn Bhd, Aneka Bena Sdn Bhd and Pembinaan Mohammed Nazir Meraslam Sdn Bhd.
Meanwhile, a manufacturer of fibre optic cables and plastic-based products, Dura Mine Sdn Bhd, bagged the Regional Champion title for 2018.
