PETALING JAYA August 20 : 5 new Covid-19 infections were recorded in the last 24 hours, but recoveries outpaced new cases with seven discharged from hospital.
With the latest figures, the total number of infections and recoveries stands at 9,240 and 8,932, respectively.
Health director-general Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said there are 183 active cases with seven warded in the intensive care unit and four needing respiratory assistance.
No new casualties were recorded, which sees the death toll remain at 125.
Noor Hisham also revealed that a new cluster has been detected involving four members of a ship’s crew.
