PETALING JAYA,Oct 5: Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Religious Affairs) Zulkifli Mohamad Al-Bakri tested positive for Covid-19.

In a Facebook post, he said he is currently being treated in hospital and as of this moment he is fine.

“I urge those who attended events I was at from Sept 24 to Oct 4 to go for Covid-19 screening at any health clinic immediately.”

This comes after health director-general Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah announced that an individual who had attended the special Covid-19 meeting on Oct 3 had tested positive for the virus.

Noor Hisham said the individual was asymptomatic but had been warded and isolated in hospital.

He also said everyone who had attended the meeting had undergone a health screening and had been tested for Covid-19 today.

“Those who have been identified as close contacts during the meeting have been given a 14-day home surveillance order from Oct 3 and given a surveillance wristband.

“Others who attended the meeting, who are not close contacts, are required to monitor their own health at home for 14 days with the MySejahtera app,” he said in a statement today.

He also urged the public against making any speculations about the incident.
