PETALING JAYA，Oct 7: Police will now be authorised to issue on-the-spot fines to individuals found breaching Covid-19 SOPs, Senior Minister for Security Ismail Sabri Yaakob said today.
However, he said only inspectors or higher-ranked officers may issue these fines, adding that the Attorney-General’s Chambers (AGC) had agreed to the decision.
He said,police officers with rank inspector and above can issue compound fines to RMCO violators on the spot, not necessary to bring offenders to police stations
