KUALA LUMPUR,Dec 10: The issue on the motions of no-confidence and confidence in Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin is expected to be the highlight of the question-and-answer session in the Dewan Rakyat today.

According to the Meeting Order, it will be raised by Hassan Abdul Karim (PH-Pasir Gudang) in a question to Muhyiddin.

Hassan wants to know when the 26 motions on a vote of no-confidence and two motions on a vote of confidence would be tabled, debated and put to vote.

Wan Hassan Mohd Ramli (PAS-Dungun) also wants to know the tourism, arts and culture ministry’s short-term strategy on domestic tourism activities following the lifting of the restriction on inter-state and inter-district travel.

Wong Shu Qi (PH-Kluang) will ask the government whether it will reintroduce the goods and services tyax (GST) or wealth tax to increase revenue.

The debate at the committee stage on the budget allocations for three more ministries – youth and sports, human resources, and communications and multimedia – will continue today.

The winding-up by the communications and multimedia ministry is expected to be a heated one as it will involve the allocation for the Department of Special Affairs (JASA), which has been rebranded as THE Community Communication Department and given different roles and functions.
