PETALING JAYA，Dec 19: The health ministry has reported 1,153 Covid-19 cases and one death in the past 24 hours.
Health director-general Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said there were 998 recoveries, bringing the total number of those discharged to 76,242.
In a statement, Noor Hisham said the 1,153 cases bring the total number of infections in the country to 91,969.
There are 15,294 active cases with 112 patients being treated in the intensive care unit and 56 requiring respiratory assistance.
Meanwhile, the one new death brings the toll to 433.
