KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 24 — The National Task Force (NTF) has received 50,000 Antigen Rapid Test Kits (RTK-Ag) from the National Security Council (MKN) for the frontliners serving under ‘Op Benteng’.

The NTF headquarters Strategic Communication Division, in a statement today said the test kits were received by NTF commander, Vice-Admiral Datuk Aris Adi Tan Abdullah from MKN director-general, Datuk Mohd Rabin Basir.

“The COVID-19 RTK-Ag are for use by the ‘Op Benteng’ frontliners in Sabah, Johor and Kedah. They were handed over in a ceremony at the 93 Armed Forces (ATM) Medical & Dental Depot this morning,” the statement said.

It said the equipment would be distributed in stages via the Military Hospital in the three states.

At the ceremony, five Negative Pressured Cabinets were received from Thailand’s Defence Ministry through the ASEAN Centre of Military Medicine for ATM’s Health Services Division.

Thailand Defence Attache, Senior Colonel Aroon Kaewset presented the contributions to ATM’s Health Services Division director-general, Lt Gen Datuk Dr Md Amin Muslan.

“The cooperation between MKN and the Thailand Defence Ministry is greatly appreciated and hopefully, it will continue in support of the frontliners carrying out their duties in safeguarding the country’s sovereignty,” the statement said.
