KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 31– CabCar Sdn Bhd has launched the “Transporter”, a mobile application offering e-hailing and on-demand delivery services.

Chief Transporter Officer and co-founder, Ballagee Chandra, said the company aims to offer the most affordable, safest and hygienic rides and dispatch services, without any hidden fees.

“At Transporter, we are serious about creating a new experience for our communities, and we aim to offer the most cost-effective services to passengers and customers.

“We aim to generate job opportunities that will help alleviate the loss of jobs and incomes due to the COVID-19 crisis, which has affected households and businesses,” he said in a statement today.

The company has obtained its licence from the Land Public Transport Agency in November.

Meanwhile, the company’s operations director and co-founder Nanda Gopal said the company will also introduce the “Tabung Transporter”, where a certain portion of its income will be used to help in educating, equipping and empowering targeted communities.

“We are currently conducting our campaign exercise and onboarding process, as well as pursuing partnerships with local food and beverages outlets, while reaching out to other affected sectors under the company’s Lend A Hand programme at the same time,” he said.

The Transporter app can be downloaded on Android and iOS devices.
