PETALING JAYA，Jan 15: The health ministry has reported 3,211 Covid-19 cases and eight deaths in the past 24 hours.
Health director-general Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said there were 1,939 recoveries, bringing the total number of those discharged to 115,227.
In a statement Noor Hisham said the total number of infections now stands at 151, 006.
There are 35,253 active cases with 204 patients receiving intensive care, of which 87 require respiratory assistance.
Meanwhile, the eight deaths raises the toll to 586.
