PETALING JAYA，Feb 4: The health ministry has reported 4,571 Covid-19 cases and 17 deaths in the past 24 hours.
Health director-general Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said there were 4,092 recoveries, bringing the total number of those discharged to 181,886.
In a statement, Noor Hisham said the total number of infections now stands at 231,483.
There are 48,771 active cases with 308 patients being treated in intensive care and 135 requiring respiratory assistance.
Meanwhile, the 17 deaths brings the number of fatalities to 826.
