Kuala Lumpur , May 31 — The health ministry has reported 6,824 Covid-19 cases in the past 24 hours.

In a tweet, health director-general Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said Selangor recorded the highest number of infections with 2,111, followed by Kelantan at 695 and Sarawak at 654. 

Perlis, which is the smallest state in Malaysia, recorded the least number of new cases with 12 new infections, followed by the Federal Territories of Putrajaya at 28 and Labuan at 166.
