Kuala Lumpur , June 3 — The health ministry has reported 8,209 Covid-19 cases in the past 24 hours.

In a tweet, health director-general Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said Selangor recorded the highest number of infections with 3,125, followed by Kuala Lumpur at 801 , Johor at 752 and Sarawak at 594. 

Perlis, which is the smallest state in Malaysia, recorded 5 new infections, followed by the Federal Territories of Putrajaya at 33 and Labuan at 62.
