KUANTAN, July 17 — The concessionaire of the Kuala Lumpur-Karak Expressway (KLK) and the East Coast Expressway Phase 1 (LPT1) ANIH Berhad expects a drop in traffic volume on both the expressways during the Aidiladha festive period due to the current ban on inter-state travel.

Its executive director, Datuk Nik Fauzi Nik Hussein said the company expected a drop of 81.3 per cent on KLK and 72.5 per cent for LPT1 compared to the daily average from July 16 until 25.

“Although inter-state travel is not allowed, ANIH Berhad continues to ensure that all highway facilities, including the rest and recreation (R&R) areas and toll services are in the best condition and ready for any eventuality,” he said in a statement here today.
