KUANTAN, Aug 11 — The state government will build another 104 units of Pahang People’s House (RRP) from September, especially for the needy, said Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Wan Rosdy Wan Ismail.

He said the State Executive Council meeting today approved the additional units under Phase 3, to the 102 units that were approved under Phase 2 for implementation and construction this year.

“This means that 206 units of RRP, priced at RM65,000 per unit or RM13.39 million in total, will be built this year.

“A total of 98 units of houses worth RM6.37 million have been completed and occupied under Phase 1, which was launched last year,” he said in a statement today.

Through the initiative, he said the units were given free to the needy, especially those registered under the e-Kasih system.

“It is hoped that more RRPs can be built based on the state government’s financial capability,” he said.
