KUCHING, Oct 10 — Every single complaint from patients at the three COVID-19 Quarantine and Treatment Centres (PKRC) under the supervision of Sarikei Hospital has been acted upon and speedily resolved.

Sarikei Hospital in a statement today said there was no denying that prior to this, a PKRC under its supervision, at Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan (SMK) Meradong, had to contend with inadequate facilities or spoilage.

“Besides the issue of facilities lacking, staff on duty at PKRC SMK Meradong also had to deal with the attitude of some patients who altered the position of beds and sleeping areas to their own liking.

“For information, PKRC SMK Meradong was officially closed on Oct 3 whereas PKRC Dewan Suarah started operations on the same date,” according to the statement.

The statement was to clarify the complaints which a news portal had highlighted regarding the PKRC situation in the Sarikei Division.
