Russia has halted peace treaty talks with Japan over a territorial dispute between the two countries. Japan’s vice foreign minister on Tuesday summoned Russia’s ambassador over this decision. Russia’s move comes in response to sanctions that Tokyo has imposed on Moscow following its attack on Ukraine.
