KOTA KINABALU, April 1 — Sabah is now going through a COVID-19 stabilisation phase when no new clusters were reported in the last few weeks, said state Local Government and Housing Minister Datuk Masidi Manjun.

The Sabah COVID-19 spokesman said there are only three clusters still active in the state and one cluster, the Jalan Kebulian Cluster in Kota Marudu was declared closed today.

“The decision to end the cluster was made when there was no new chain of cases with links with the cluster…no new clusters were recorded today,” he said in a statement here tonight.

He said there were 270 new COVID-19 infections today compared with only 214 cases yesterday, bringing the cumulative total for the state to 367,679 cases.

“A total of 258 people or 95.56 per cent from 270 new patients were in categories one and two, three individuals in category three, four in category four and five in category five,” he said.
