PUTRAJAYA, June 14 — An Association of Wives and Women Members of the Malaysian Civil Service (Puspanita) activity centre will be constructed in Precinct 10 here to serve as the venue for the various programmes and growing activities of the association and the local community.

Puspanita said in a statement today that the RM22.0 million proposed centre is expected to be ready in 2024. It will be equipped with facilities like a multi-purpose hall, a seminar room, a gymnasium, a cafe as well as an exhibition and sales area for women entrepreneurs.

“The centre, which has a modern design concept and equipped with various facilities, is expected to be the focal point for Putrajaya residents and those nearby,” the statement, which was issued in conjunction with the association’s 40th Annual General Meeting (AGM) today, read.

Puspanita has about 145,000 members nationwide.

The AGM was officiated by Chief Secretary to the Government Tan Sri Mohd Zuki Ali, who is also Puspanita’s advisor.

In conjunction with the AGM, a Puspanita Strategic Action Plan was also launched, outlining the direction the organisation will take in the next five years.

The Strategic Action Plan was formulated based on the 5K policy approach that emphasises the implementation of Puspanita programs and activities based on the cores of Welfare, Knowledge, Entrepreneurship, Sustainability and Wellbeing.
