JOHOR BAHRU, July 11 — Two people are being sought for after a road rage incident at the Second Link here was caught on several viral videos.

In the clips, believed to have been taken last Saturday morning, two people were seen stopping a car in the middle of a busy road before shouting foul words at its driver.

The videos have been making the rounds on social media.

Iskandar Puteri OCPD Asst Comm Rahmat Ariffin said police have attained footage of the incident from the victims’ car and were currently investigating the matter.

“During the incident near Customs, Immigration and Quarantine (CIQ) at the Second-Link, the victims, who were in a multi-purpose vehicle, scraped the suspects’ car while changing lanes.

“The suspects, who were in a red sedan car, stopped their vehicle. Two people, a man and a woman, came out of it.

“The man then shouted vulgar words and made obscene gestures to the victims while the woman yanked out the victims’ car plate before throwing it towards the windscreen of the car,” he said in a statement.

ACP Rahmat noted that the victims were on their way home from the Forest City here to Singapore.

“They are not hurt and there is only minor damage to their car,” he said, adding that the case is being investigated under Section 427 of the Penal Code for committing mischief.

In one of the videos that went viral, the woman was seen physically trying to stop the victims’ car from moving by standing in front of the vehicle.

She was also seen pushing her body towards the car while signalling to other vehicles that were honking to move ahead.

In another video, she was seen yanking out the registration plate of the vehicle and throwing it at the windshield before going back into her car while her male companion, in a blue T-shirt, was shouting foul words and making obscene gestures towards the victims.

The pair was travelling in a Singapore-registered car.
