KUALA LUMPUR, July 29 — The National Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Malaysia (NCCIM) has appointed Tan Sri Soh Thian Lai as its 23rd President for the 2022-2024 term.

The appointment was made at NCCIM’s 46th Annual General Meeting held today.

NCCIM said in a statement that Soh will further drive the chamber to be a more efficacious voice of the business community, as it is structured and uphold values pursuant to the spirit of Keluarga Malaysia.

“We express our gratitude and appreciation to Tan Sri Low Kian Chuan, who has completed his tenure of presidency, for his relentless services and contributions to NCCIM,” it added.

NCCIM is a federation of five national trade organisations, such as The Associated Chinese Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Malaysia (ACCCIM), Malay Chamber of Commerce Malaysia, Malaysian Associated Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Malaysia, Malaysian International Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and the Federation of Malaysian Manufacturers.
