KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 8 — Finance Minister Tengku Datuk Seri Zafrul Tengku Abdul Aziz said Barisan Nasional’s (BN) ‘Perancangan Amal dan Usaha’ or PADU manifesto launched yesterday took into account the interests of all levels of society.

Tengku Zafrul, who is also BN’s candidate for the Kuala Selangor parliamentary seat in the 15th general election (GE15), is confident that through PADU, the people can judge for themselves how the coalition had taken their concerns into consideration.

“Our (BN) approach is comprehensive and holistic,” he said in a video uploaded on Facebook today.

Tengku Zafrul said among the solutions in PADU on issues faced by the B40 group is the Assistive Basic Income scheme for households to a have basic monthly income of RM2,208.

As for the M40 group, he said those earning RM50,000 and RM100,000 annually will enjoy a two per cent income tax reduction.

Also included in the manifesto are initiatives to empower education, empower the working class and also environmental protection, he said.

Tengku Zafrul said while it is always easy to make promises, implementation is a whole different matter, adding that BN, however, has a solid track record of channeling assistance and support, especially in the last year.

“Insya-Allah, we (BN) will do our best for the people,” he said.
