KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 15 — PAS secretary-general Datuk Seri Takiyuddin Hassan was never instructed to negotiate with Barisan Nasional (BN) for the purpose of forming a government after the 15th general election (GE15), said  Perikatan Nasional (PN) chairman Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin.

“PN is contesting in GE15 to form a government without having to work in a coalition with BN or Pakatan Harapan (PH).

“I pray that with the will of Allah S.W.T and solid support from the people, PN will win sufficient number of seats to form the federal government and government of the states involved in GE15,” he said in a Twitter post.

During a campaign at Kampung Kubang Kiat in Kota Bharu, Kelantan yesterday, Takiyuddin expressed confidence that PN would be able to form the government by working with other parties, especially BN.

Takiyuddin, who is defending his Kota Bharu parliamentary seat is also confident that BN will accept the idea to work together with PN.

Apart from PAS, the other PN component parties are Bersatu, Gerakan, Parti Maju Sabah (SAPP) and Parti Solidariti Tanah AirKu (STAR).

Polling is on Saturday (Nov 19).
