PUTRAJAYA, Dec 7 — Malaysia strongly condemns the suicide bomb attack that took place at a Police Station in West Java, Indonesia, this morning which resulted in the death of a policeman.

The Foreign Ministry in a press release tonight said Malaysia hopes those behind the attack will be brought to justice soon.

Malaysia also expresses its condolences and sympathies to the families of the victims, and to the Government of Indonesia, praying and wishing the injured a speedy recovery. 

According to the statement, the Malaysian Embassy in Jakarta has confirmed that so far no Malaysians have been reported to be involved in the incident.

Earlier, Bernama reported that West Java Police Chief Suntana had said the incident also left 10 victims including a civilian injured.

He said, the suicide bomber had rushed into the premises with a sharp weapon before the explosion occurred.

The suspect’s body was blown to pieces, he said in a statement.
