KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 14 — Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has expressed his condolences to the family of Datuk Seri Ramesh Rao, the special officer in charge of affairs related to the Indian community at the Deputy Prime Minister’s Office, who died early today.

“Hopefully, they will be patient in their moment of grief,” he said in a tweet.

Ramesh Rao, 52, died at his home in Petaling Jaya, understood to be due to a heart attack.

On Dec 24 last year, Ramesh Rao, who was also Pertubuhan Minda dan Sosial Prihatin president, was appointed as a special officer to the Deputy Prime Minister to look into the problems and interests of the Indian community.
