SEREMBAN, Feb 14 – Three individuals, including a secondary school student, were killed and four others were injured in a road crash involving two vehicles at KM 20.8 of the Seremban-Port Dickson Expressway (SPDH) heading towards Telok Kemang, Port Dickson, here today.

Port Dickson district police chief Supt Aidi Sham Mohamed said the crash, which occurred at about 1.30 pm involved a Toyota Camry with six people, aged between 16 and 51 inside, and a four-wheel-drive Toyota Hilux, with a 45-year-old man at the wheel.

He said those killed in the crash were passengers in the Toyota Camry, identified as R. Mogana, 35, M. Pangaja Valli, 51, and her son, S. Jagannatth, 16.

They were trapped in the rear seat and died at the scene, he said in a statement.

He said the njured were car driver (and Mogana’s husband) S. Shanmugam, 33, (Pangaja Valli’s son) S. Thibankumar, 23, and his fiance, L. Vinisha, 23.

All of them, from Ampang, Selangor, were on the way to a temple at Batu 5 Jalan Pantai, Port Dickson, when a Toyota Hilux, which was heading to Taman Intan Perdana, crashed into its rear, he said in a statement.

He said the driver of the Toyota Hilux, who tested negative for drug and alcohol, was slightly injured in the crash and detained for further investigation.
