KUALA LUMPUR, March 4 – The MCA central committee election 2023 will be held on Sept 24 while polling for the youth and women’s wings will be held a day earlier, party secretary general Datuk Chong Sin Woon said.

He said nominations for all central-level positions will be on Sept 11.

“All information on the party elections will be displayed on the website http://mcape.mca.org.my for candidates’ reference,” he told a media conference at the 74th MCA party anniversary celebrations here today.

Chong said party polls will kick off with the branch-level election next month, with nominations on April 20 while elections will be held on April 29 (youth and women), and branch on April 30.

As for the divisional election, nominations will be held on June 1 while polling will be on June 10 and 11.

“Nominations for the division youth and women’s wings posts will be held on July 27 with polling on Aug 5 (youth) and Aug 6 (women’s wing).

According to Article 167 of the MCA Constitution, party elections must be held within six months after the general election.
