The China International Consumer Products Expo online Warm-Up held in Kuala Lumpur

Kuala Lumpur, April 16 – The China International Consumer Products Expo Cloud Exhibition (Malaysia – Hainan Special) was successfully held on 16 April 2021. According to the organizer, this event was the first online warm-up event of the first China International Consumer Products Expo 2021.

At the cloud exhibition, Gong Qijun, Deputy Director of the Hainan Provincial Bureau of International Economic Development shared the Hainan Free Trade Port policy, followed by the status update and highlights of the upcoming first China International Consumer Products Expo 2021. Tan Sri Lee Kim Yew, the founder of The Mines Resort and Country Heights Holding Bhd, gave introduction to his group as well as the Golden Horse Digital Investment Bank.  Cai Xiong, the General Manager of the International Department of China Construction Bank (“CCB”) Hainan Branch and Wang Ziming, the Treasurer of CCB Malaysia introduced CCB B2B Global Matchmaking Platform and financial services. Anselmo Teng Lin Seng, the former Director of the Macau Monetary Authority presented the International Digital Authentication Center (Labuan) and participated in the virtual signing ceremony. 

A large number of companies participated in cloud exhibition to exhibit their high-quality products such as durian, bird’s nest, coffee, and regional unique artwork etc. Representatives of emerging industries such as digital authentication and health care also showcased their services and products through promotional videos and corporate presentation.

Good Health System(GHS), Country Heights Health Tourism Sdn. Bhd. and Labuan Digital Authentication Center Inc signed a tripartite memorandum of understanding at the cloud exhibition. Through the introduction of digital traceability of quality assurance and rapid biotechnology testing services, the three institutions will work together to integrate digitalization and AI models into promoting Traditional Chinese Medicine in Malaysia and ASEAN in order to establish a long-term cross-border cooperation and trade of Traditional Chinese Medicine.  

More than 1,000 entrepreneurs participating in this cloud exhibition and many domestic purchasers in China expressed their willingness to collaborate with the sellers that have showcased their products during the cloud exhibition.  In addition, interested parties also carried out one-to-one business matchmaking discussion after the exhibition through joining a common groupchat.This cloud exhibition was co-organised by CCB Malaysia, CCB Hainan Branch and Hainan Provincial Bureau of International Economic Development with the aim of fostering inter-industry cooperation as well as digital transformation.  According to relevant personnel of CCB, this cloud exhibition is broadcast live through “CCB Match Plus” B2B Global Matchmaking Platform to reach out to prospects and buyers internationally so that high-quality and characteristic consumer products from ASEAN countries such as Malaysia will be introduced into China’s market in order to promote the trade and investment exchanges between China and the ASEAN region.
