Taiwan to ease mask mandate starting Dec 1

TAIPEI, Nov 28 — People in Taiwan will no longer be required to wear masks at all times while outdoors, starting Dec 1, according to the first-stage easing of mask mandate announced by the Central Epidemic Command Centre (CECC) on Monday.

In terms of indoor settings, Central news agencyt (CNA) reported that no masks will be required when singing, such as at karaoke bars, said the CECC, which plans to ease the mask mandate in several stages.

Also to be lifted is a ban prohibiting individuals attending banquets from going table to table and toasting guests, it added.
