MAIPs – First Islamic council to receive MIP President Award

KANGAR, Jan 31 —  The Perlis Islamic Religious and Malay Customs Council (MAIPs) is the first Islamic religious council in the country to receive the President’s Award from the Malaysian Institute of Planners (MIP).

In a statement today, MAIPs said the award was given for its Seberang Ramai Colourful Village Transformation Royal Project in Kuala Perlis, which was recognised as a high-impact project to assist the community.

It said the award was received by MAIP chief executive officer Mohd Nazim Mohd Noor at a ceremony held at the Majestic Hotel in Kuala Lumpur recently.

A ceremony was held at the Perlis Islam Complex yesterday where the trophy and certificate for the award were presented to the Raja Muda of Perlis, Tuanku Syed Faizuddin Putra Jamalullail, who is also the MAIPs president and YTSP chairman.

Meanwhile, Mohd Nazim expressed his gratitude to all stakeholders, especially the sponsors and the local community, for making the project a success.
