MELAKA, Aug 6 — Rewards worth RM3,000 through the Anugerah Semarak Gemilang await individuals and organisations in Melaka with the best display of Jalur Gemilang at their respective buildings or homes.
Chief Minister Datuk Seri Ab Rauf Yusoh said the award was organised by the state Information Department to encourage the public to fly the Jalur Gemilang throughout this national month.
“At the same time, we will ask the local authorities (PBT) to use a more proactive approach to encourage all building or house owners in their respective areas to fly the Jalur Gemilang.
“This is a sign of our love for the country, the aspiration to produce the MADANI Malaysia generation under one roof of unity,” he said when met by the media after officiating the state-level 2023 National Month and Fly the Jalur Gemilang launching ceremony here last night.
The celebration took place at the Melaka Historic City Council (MBMB) Ayer Keroh City Square. Also present were Broadcasting Department director-general Suhaimi Sulaiman, state leadership and local authorities.
More than 2,000 visitors attended the celebration which included the Gegau Melaka- Perpaduan Cintakan Negara concert.
