KUALA LUMPUR, July 28– BigPay has added China to its international remittance service, a key community for the Malaysian market. 

In a statement, the digital payments platform said users will be able to send money using their recipient’s Alipay ID and full name.

“With access to Alipay users in China, BigPay users will be able to transfer funds to an additional 900 million people,” it said.

BigPay launched its international remittance services in September 2019, and currently enables users to send money directly from Malaysia to bank accounts in Australia, Bangladesh, India, Indonesia, Nepal, Singapore, Thailand, the Philippines and Vietnam.
