PUTRAJAYA, Aug 10: Malaysia reported 11 new Covid-19 cases, pushing the total number of patients so far to 9,094.

Of the new cases, five are imported ones, involving Malaysians, while the other six local infections involve one foreigner and five Malaysians.

At a press conference today, health director-general Noor Hisham Abdullah said one patient is being treated in the intensive care unit (ICU) with no need for respiratory assistance.

He said 19 patients have recovered, bringing the total number discharged so far to 8,803.

A total of 106 people are still being treated.

No new deaths were reported, with the toll remaining at 125.
