SIBU, Oct 3 — TV Sarawak, the state’s very own television station will be launched on Oct 10.
Sarawak Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Abang Johari Tun Openg said the Yang Dipertua Negeri Tun Abdul Taib Mahmud would launch the station at a ceremony in conjunction with his birthday on that date.
“Sarawak will have its own television station and will be aired over Astro Channel 122. This allows us to connect with outsiders and they can see what is happening in Sarawak. We will produce all the programmes,” he said at the special central-zone convention of Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB) here today.
He said TV Sarawak would broadcast the uniqueness of the culture and arts of the people of various ethnic as well as highlight the great talents among the children of Sarawak.
