PETALING JAYA，Oct 9: Six localities in Semporna and one in Kunak will be placed under an enhanced movement control order (EMCO) from Oct 11 to Oct 24, Senior Minister for Security Ismail Sabri Yaakob said today.
Meanwhile, he said the conditional EMCO for other areas in the two districts as well as Tawau and Lahad Datu will be extended to Oct 26.
On Sept 28, Ismail had announced that the four districts would be under a targeted EMCO.
A spokesman for the ministry has clarified that the four districts were under a conditional EMCO and not a targeted EMCO.
