PUTRAJAYA，Nov 9: There was a record-high of 1,345 Covid-19 patients discharged in the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of those discharged to 29,579.
Health director-general Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said there were 972 new cases, bringing the total number of infections in the country to 41,181.
There were 967 local infections and five imported cases.
There are currently 11,308 patients being treated. 86 are in the intensive care unit, with 31 requiring respiratory assistance.
Meanwhile, eight deaths were reported, bringing the toll to 294.
