KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 9 (Bernama) — The Great Wall is a great miracle created by the ancient Chinese people and a testimony to China’s long history. The Great Wall in Ningxia has been continuously built from the Warring States Period to the Qin, Han, Sui, Ming and other dynasties, with a total length of 1,500 kilometers. It is known as the “Great Wall Museum of China”.

The Great Wall of Ningxia played a very important role historically in defense. In the Ming Dynasty, there were 9 important border towns along the Great Wall of the country, of which 2 towns in Ningxia and Guyuan. The Ningxia Post Museum vividly exhibited a miniature view of the Great Wall Beacon Towers and photos of some of the Ningxia Great Wall sites.

When talking about the Chinese Great Wall, we can not stop thinking of the famous proverb, “ The one who has not reached the Great Wall is not a true man.” But in fact, few people get to know that the Great Wall mentioned here refers to the Great Wall of Qin at the foot of Liupan Mountain in Ningxia, China.

After thousands of years, the Great Wall of Ningxia lost its historical military function but still stood there quietly. While on the side of the wall, there are paddy and wheat waves alike the south of the Yangtze River, tracts of cattle and sheep, vast grasslands; there are also towering mountains and mysterious deserts with pleasant sounds of camel bells, which constitute a beautiful and unique picture scroll. This is the unique beauty of Ningxia.
