SHAH ALAM,Dec 11: The Yang di-Pertuan Agong Sultan Abdullah Sultan Ahmad Shah heads the list of 180 recipients of state honours in conjunction with the 75th birthday of the Sultan of Selangor, Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah, today.
Sultan Abdullah, who was installed the 16th Agong on July 30 last year, is conferred the Darjah Kerabat Yang Amat Dihormati (DK).
Member of the Selangor Royal Council Raja Arshad Raja Uda receives the Darjah Kerabat Kedua (DKII).
Health director-general Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah and army chief Zamrose Mohd Zain are the two recipients of the Darjah Kebesaran Seri Paduka Mahkota Selangor (SPMS), which carries the title Datuk Seri.
Education director-general Habibah Abdul Rahim and Malaysian Syariah Judiciary Department director-general and syariah chief judge Mohd Na’im Mokhtar receive the Datuk Setia-Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah (SSIS), which carries the title Datuk Setia.
Eleven individuals, including Selangor police chief Noor Azam Jamaludin, Health Department director Dr Sha’ari Ngadiman and Islamic Religious Department director Mohd Shahzihan Ahmad, are bestowed the Darjah Kebesaran-Datuk Paduka Mahkota Selangor (DPMS), which carries the Datuk title.
Sixteen others receive the Darjah Kebesaran Datuk-Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah (DSIS), which also carries the Datuk title.
Among them are the two recipients of the Global Health Award 2020 – Sungai Buloh Hospital General Medical Department head and senior consultant Dr C Suresh Kumar and Sungai Buloh Hospital Anaesthesia and Intensive Care Department head Dr Shaiful Azman Zakaria.
There are 30 recipients of the Darjah Kebesaran-Setia Mahkota Selangor (SMS) and 29 recipients of the Darjah Kebesaran Setia-Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah (SIS), including Bernama senior editor Harlina Samson and chief reporter of The Star Edward Rajendra.
Thirty-eight others receive the Kebesaran Ahli Mahkota Selangor (AMS, 40 the Darjah Kebesaran Ahli-Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah (AIS) and 10 the Bintang Perkhidmatan Cemerlang.
