PETALING JAYA, Jan 2 — The health ministry has reported 2,295 Covid-19 cases and nine deaths in the past 24 hours.
Health director-general Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said there was a record high 3,321 recoveries, bringing the total number of those discharged to 94,492.
In a statement, Noor Hisham said the total number of infections now stands at 117,373.
There are 22,398 active cases with 125 patients being treated in intensive care and 51 requiring respiratory assistance.
Meanwhile, the nine deaths bring the death toll to 483.
