PETALING JAYA: The government has no plans to restrict cross-border travel or impose new restrictions for the time being says Senior Minister for Security Ismail Sabri Yaakob.

At a press conference, Ismail said the health ministry is analysing the risks of cross-border travel.

While the matter was still being studied, Ismail said those who are afraid that they may infect others by travelling to other areas, can get themselves tested three days before travelling.

Yesterday, health director-general Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said 14 Covid-19 clusters were caused by cross-border travel and social activities from Dec 7.
