JOHOR BAHRU, March 12 — Permaisuri of Johor Raja Zarith Sofiah Almarhum Sultan Idris Shah has expressed the hope that the laptop assistance given to students in the state will facilitate their learning.
According to a posting on The Royal Johor Facebook page, Raja Zarith Sofiah who is also the chairman of the Raja Zarith Sofiah of Johor Foundation said she understood the current issues and challenges in education, including the home-based teaching and learning (PdPR) process as well as the economic challenges and the burden faced by parents.
Her Royal Highness agreed to provide laptops to high potential students from B40 families listed in the Johor Bahru eKasih system.
“I really hope that this assistance will facilitate the learning process both at home and at school in order to achieve academic excellence for a brighter future,” she said.
On Feb 3, some 53 laptops have been distributed under the first phase while the second phase, which benefited 100 students, started on Feb 243
