KUCHING, April 18 — Four locations in Sarawak involving the districts of Sarikei, Pakan and Kuching have been subjected to the Enhanced Movement Control Order (EMCO), according to the State Disaster Management Committee (JPBN).

JPBN in a statement informed that the EMCO in Sarikei involved two longhouses, namely Rumah Tang in Teluk Batu Bintangor and Rumah Naning in Sungai Baji, from April 16 to 29.

Meanwhile, the EMCO at Rumah Juni in Ulu Pandanum, Pakan would run from April 17 to 30, while the one in Taman Mesra Bako, Kuching was from today (April 18) until May 1.

The Sarawak State Health Department also declared two new clusters today, namely the Jalan Bintulu-Sibu Cluster in Tatau and the Tarat Tani Cluster in Serian.

Sarawak recorded 508 new COVID-19 cases today, bringing the cumulative total to 23,940, while another fatality took the death toll in the state due to the pandemic to 137.
