KANGAR,  April 24 — The Raja Muda of Perlis Tuanku Syed Faizuddin Putra Jamalullail regarded tithe contributors to the Perlis Islamic Religious and Malay Customs Council (MAIPs) as “unsung heroes”.

They are MAIPs’ backbone and strength, he said, adding that the situation today is becoming more challenging with the COVID-19 pandemic, which is affecting the people, economically and socially, where more people need help.

Tuanku Syed Faizuddin Putra, who is MAIPs president, said this in a statement issued today in conjunction with an event held for MAIPs’ tithe contributors at Masjid Al-Maghfirah Pauh Sanglang yesterday.

The event was also attended by MAIPs chief executive officer Mohd Nazim Mohd Noor.
