KUALA LUMPUR, April 14 — Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob today wished the Tamil and Sikh communities in the country Happy Chithirai Puthandu and Happy Vaisakhi, respectively, in conjunction with their new year.

Ismail Sabri said he believed the new year by both the communities  was celebrated based on the Keluarga Malaysia (Malaysian Family) concept to further strengthen relations among the various ethnics in the country.

“Closer understanding and religious harmony must be maintained among Keluarga Malaysia. What is most important is about respecting each other which is the pillar of the Keluarga Malaysia concept,” he said through a post on his Facebook account today.

Ismail Sabri also prayed that the Tamil and Sikh communities, in particular, and the entire Keluarga Malaysia, in general,  would continue to be in good health at all times.

“Today is also a time to celebrate a new beginning to achieve prosperity,” he said.
