SHAH ALAM, July 28 — The organisation of the Malaysia Future Leaders School (MFLS) Tier 3 programme in 2022 is seen as timely when the country and the whole world are busy empowering technological knowledge to face the challenges of Industrial Revolution 4.0 (IR 4.0) era, especially in this post-COVID-19 era.

The Raja Muda of Perlis, Tuanku Syed Faizuddin Putra Jamalullail said a programme like this should be continuous with the involvement of various parties to produce future leaders in an organised and planned manner.

“We need to produce future leaders according to our own model, which is based on our values, customs and culture and at the same time capable of playing a role at international level,” said the Raja Muda at the Titipan Titian Kasih Session held in conjunction with MFLS Tier 3 Year 2022 programme organised by the Institute of Leadership Excellence and Development (i-Lead), Ministry of Youth and Sports here Wednesday.

Also present were the Raja Puan Muda of Perlis Tuanku Hajah Lailatul Shahreen Akashah Khalil and Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports Datuk Seri Ti Lian Ker.

The Raja Muda said in the context of the formation of future leaders, some key elements are living according to rules, fear of God, having integrity and understanding the pulse of the people and organisations, to ensure future leaders have superior leadership qualities.

MFLS Tier 3 was implemented face-to-face starting on July 16 until July 30, involving a total of 150 students aged between 15 and 18 who are among the best participants of MFLS Tier 2 programme in 2019, 2020 and 2021.

The main objective of MFLS Tier 3 programme is based on seven elements, namely leadership, citizenship, character and identity formation, entrepreneurship, volunteerism, communication and internationalization.

Various events have taken place including Character Talks, Icon Talks, Nationality Talks, Identity Talks, volunteering activities, institutional visits, parliamentary style debates and high impact communication to grooom future leaders.
