JOHOR BAHRU, Aug 7 — Johor Menteri Besar Datuk Onn Hafiz Ghazi today called on the youth, especially those appointed as 2022 Johor Unity Ambassadors, to participate in advancing the state’s development agenda.
He said the fate of the state rests on the shoulders of the youth, who will inherit the state’s leadership, therefore the state could not progress if its future leaders did not support it.
“I call on all youth, especially the Unity Ambassadors, to go down to the grassroots and get your friends involved in advancing the development agenda of Johor.
“Work with the state government to provide constructive suggestions for the future of the youth. I will be with you every step of the way,” he said in a Facebook post today.
He had earlier spent time meeting with 200 young people appointed as 2022 Johor Unity Ambassadors.
“Congratulations and well done. Through this programme, I am sure you will embrace the spirit of unity and togetherness between races to pursue a brighter future for this state,” he said.
