PUTRAJAYA, Aug 15 — Bosnia and Herzegovina’s Foreign Minister Dr Bisera Turkovic will be making her inaugural visit to Malaysia starting Monday.

Her visit from Aug 15 to 16 will be hosted by Foreign Minister Datuk Seri Saifuddin Abdullah.

Malaysian Foreign Ministry in a statement on Monday said both foreign ministers will meet and take stock of the progress in furthering the longstanding and multifaceted ties between Malaysia and Bosnia and Herzegovina. 

Saifuddin and Turkovic will also exchange views on various bilateral, regional and international issues of mutual interest.

During the meeting, both Foreign Ministers are scheduled to exchange Diplomatic Notes on the establishment of a bilateral consultation mechanism and capacity-building initiatives between Malaysia and Bosnia and Herzegovina.

“With Malaysia’s strong historical footsteps in Bosnia and Herzegovina’s nationhood, this visit is expected to further strengthen and elevate bilateral relations between both countries, especially with the upcoming commemoration of 30 years of diplomatic relations on Dec 5, 2022,” the statement read.
