KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 20 — The collaboration between Yayasan Ekonomi Padang Besar (YEPB) and Acestar Solution Sdn Bhd is poised to create job opportunities involving 2,500 local and foreign employers in creative and multimedia fields.
Deputy Communications and Multimedia Minister, Datuk Zahidi Zainul Abidin said YEPB has made room for Acestar as an Adobe Micro-Credential Partner so that creative and multimedia students at Rembau Kolej Kemahiran Tinggi MARA in Negeri Sembilan can receive international recognition of the Adobe Badge beginning next month.
“Both parties will cooperate to run a short-term course through skill training and career placement in the creative and multimedia fields.
“This will include diploma students, who will be given one or two-week courses, and this initiative will benefit 5,000 students,” he told reporters today.
Earlier, Zahidi witnessed the agreement signing ceremony between Acestar, represented by Group Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Natalie Sit, and YEPB, represented by CEO Aweena Mohd Arshad, at Angkasapuri here.
Meanwhile, Zahidi, who is also Padang Besar MP, said YEPB and Acestar also plan to hold the Adobe Certified Professional (ACP) Championship Malaysia 2023 to encourage local talents to produce creative works through Adobe Smart applications.
According to him, YEPB and Acestar will begin exploring the realm of Web3 Non-fungible Token (NFT) technology, whereby contributions can be made to local creative content creators through cryptocurrency transactions.
YEPB was established to support the education and social welfare of the community, especially through informal education, to acquire skills for the sake of survival in the long term.
Several training programmes are implemented under YEPB’s skills and job placement programme, including a strategic collaboration with Telekom Malaysia, the National Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) and the Federal Territories Islamic Religious Council.
